Wine of the month

Cuvée and Chardonnée.

The 2013 „Guillaume“ by Friedrich Becker from the palatinate is a blend with a fruity note and the perfect match for meat – such a coincidence. Glowing in a straw yellow, the Creation Ridge Chardonnay from South Africa (2014) has a full-bodied crispness with a fine balance for a harmonious night.

Sommelier’s selection

Lodi Old Vine Zinfandel

Fertile pebble stone soils. A Mediterranean climate with a constant breeze and chilly nights. And vines that partially date back over 120 years. The result? Dark ruby colour, complex berry flavours and a velvet richness on the palate. Zin tax included.

2014 Lodi Old Vine Zinfandel, Ravenwood, Napa Valley, California, USA

Kaiken Ultra Malbec

Juicy, with a full fruit and an endless finish. Matured for 12 months in the barrique, this crimson Malbec will win you over with its scent of violet notes, wild berries and mocha. Cuddly to the palate and with a fine structure: Cheers to the terroir of Mendoza. Ultra yummy.

2014 Kaiken Ultra Malbec, Vina Kaiken, Mendoza, Argentina

„Optima“

An irresistible hand-picked red from the Western Cape with silky smooth tannins and distinct texture. Its notes of spicy fruit cake, cherry tobacco, cigar box and lush plums are ensured by 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc, 12% Cinsault and 1% Sangiovese. An optimal choice.

2012 „Optima“, Anthonij Rupert Wyne, Stellenbosch, South Africa
